On Your Mark, Get Set, It’s Monday

You can write down goals like:

I am going to go to the gym 3x this week.

I am going to eat vegetables with each meal.

I am going to spend 10 minutes mediating every day.

OR

They can be things you want to manifest, such as:

I am receiving $1500 unexpected income this week.

I am going to get hired at my dream job.

I am going to receive a cup of coffee from a stranger.

For example,

I am so proud of myself for going to the gym 3x this week. I feel strong and confident. I am thrilled that got hired at my dream job. I am excited to be starting in 2 weeks.

You get the idea.

Spend a few moments truly feeling the emotions behind your desires. Then put the list away until Saturday.

If you recall your list during the week, take a minute or two to focus on the emotions of achieving your desire.

If you accomplish/receive before Saturday say, “Thank You”.

Otherwise, just go along in your week, be as happy and productive as you can.

On Saturday, take the list out and see how you did.

Make a Connection to Move Forward

Whether you call your higher power Spirit, Universe, God, Yahweh, Allah, or Goddess take a moment today to get quiet and make a connection to that higher power.

Your Higher Power knows what you need to do to move forward in the direction of your goals AND it wants to help you do so, however if you are closed off from the wisdom and guidance of your Power you will not receive this knowledge and the path to successful achievement of your goals will be little red with roadblocks.

In making a connection your Higher Power, you create a bond that puts you in the vibration of that higher power and allows you to hear the messages your Power sends to you and the trust you need to follow this message. Listen to what your Higher Power tells you, express gratitude for the message, and take steps to honor or follow the wisdom you receive.

Each morning, I take a few moments to make this connection: I find a quiet place to sit, take a few breaths, clear extraneous thoughts from my mind, and ask the Universe, “What can I do today to be of service to others?” Then I listen for the Universe’s answer. Within a minute or two, I receive a message/thought from the Universe. Often it is an action I can take such as writing a blog, being more present with clients, or sharing my knowledge. Other times it is more of a thought or feeling, “Trust me”, “Relax and have fun”, or “Just be happy”. When I take the Universe’s advice my days flow smoothly and I am calm and relaxed. On the days I forget to follow my message the day inevitably has a few hitches and I feel anxious and rushed.

Make connecting to your Higher Power a daily habit, learn to trust the messages you receive, and take action. I guarantee you will find the journey to your goal easier and more enjoyable.

Remember to Say, “Thank You” to the Universe

When you are on the path to manifesting better things into your life, you make mistakes, especially in the beginning:

  • You don’t trust or believe the Universe is listening.
  • You get impatient or frustrated when it does not arrive as quickly as you would like.
  • Or perhaps you even get angry and throw a tantrum like a little child and demand the Universe give you what you asked for immediately.

That’s ok!

Manifesting is a process, one where you learn what works for you and your Higher Power what does not. With every step you take down the path to manifesting your dreams and goals, you evolve and grow.

Throughout this process the Universe (God, Jesus, Higher Self, Allah, etc.) patiently waits for you to learn and apply the necessary lessons. No matter how much you resist or fuss, the Universe never gives up on you or your dreams.

So today, take a few moments to say, “Thank You,” to the Universe or your Higher Power for it’s patience, guidance, and support.

You make even close your eyes, take a few breaths, and repeat the following prayer or create one of your own.

Enjoy the connection you make to Spirit and have a happy, healthy day!

Get Specific

A few weeks ago, I was working in a group of fellow manifestors and I posed this fill-in the blank statement:

Today I intend to powerfully and successfully manifest________________________________.

Answers ranged from a new job, a car, a dream home, peace on earth, good health and the most common, financial abundance.

Now, theses are all great answers, but it got me thinking, “What IS financial abundance?” Or “What exactly does good health mean?” The answer to these questions is likely different for each person that completed my original statement. It occurred to me with all of these vague answers how is the Universe supposed to know what to deliver to you?

For example, you say, “I want to manifest a new job.” So, the Universe sends you a job, at a fast food restaurant. Not exactly what you intended. Then you end up frustrated because you got a job, but it isn’t what you wanted or dreamt. And the Universe says, “Hey, you said a new job you didn’t give me specifics! Don’t be picky”

Ok, maybe the Universe leaves out the “picky” part.

The point is, often we ask the Universe for something we want, but we are so vague and wish-washy about it that the Universe is left in limbo trying to figure out what we want it to deliver us.

The best way to resolve this miscommunication, is to get REALLY specific about what you want the Universe to deliver to you, put in every detail you can think of: how does it feel, what does it look like, smell like, where are you, who is with you, when is it taking place, how much? Keeping adding as new details occur to you.

Here’s an example:

Hello Universe, I would like a new career that allows me to work anywhere I choose in the world and on my own time schedule. I prefer to work alone or with a group of 3-4 people who share my ideas and passions. I want to use my skills in life coaching to help people achieve their goals and live their best life. I want to receive $15,000 every month in income so that I can travel, donate to my favorite charities, and start my own arts endowment.

Even though you get specific about what you want, DO NOT get too attached to the outcome. You have given the Universe a blueprint to work from, but as in any development process alterations may need to be made for the plans to work out in the fastest, easiest, most beneficial way.

After all if you ask for $1,000,000 and you get $3,000,000 will you be disappointed? Probably not!

I am a fan of adding, “This or something better”, to the end of my manifest requests just to let the Universe know I am open to a variety of options and solutions.

So, the next time you choose to manifest anything: a new car, great health, your soul mate, a nice dinner, or anything else make sure you help the Universe bring it into your reality by giving it a roadmap to follow and allowing the Universe to take a few detours to make the journey more fun and exciting!

I AM…

Recently, I have been focusing on, “I am…” statements.  The words, “I AM” are extremely powerful tools in the manifestation process.  The words that follow, “I am”, shape your reality.

WHY?

The Universe takes what we say after these two words as a statement of fact about what we believe ourselves to be.

Often, we use “I am” statements to create or reinforce negative beliefs:

  • I am tired.
  • I am poor.
  • I am stupid.
  • I am fat.
  • I am terrible at…
  • I am unloveable.
  • I am a victim

When used this way, “I am” statements doom us to continuely create and recreate negative results.

Fortunately, we can manifest our dreams and design an amazing life simply by using powerful positive “I am” statements.

What do you want to create in your life?  Do you want more money?  More friends?  A better job?   Who do you want to be?  Do you want to be healthy?  Beautiful?  Intelligent?Think about who you want to be and what you want to attract into your life and then add the words, “I AM”, at the beginning.

For example:

  • If you want to be a millionaire try the phrase,  I AM wealthy.
  • For individuals who want to attract a soul mate, begin with,  I AM loved.
  • If you want vibrant health or to be rid of a pain or illness try, I AM healthy.
  • Need some inspiration for an artistic project?  I AM creative.

You get the idea.

Don’t forget phrases like:

  • I AM talented.
  • I AM intelligent.
  • I AM a philanthropist.
  • I AM adventurous.
  • I AM successful.

I suggest taking some time over the next few days to review your goals and write down 1-2 inspiring and exciting “I am” statements for each goal.  It does not matter if it is true now, it simply needs to be a positive belief.

I have created a list of “I am” statements for myself and my goals and have encouraged many of my clients to do the same.  Both my clients and myself have noticed that we feel more confident, more enthusiastic about our goals, and overall happier.  It is amazing that 2 simple words have the power to attract so many spectacular and thrilling thoughts, circumstances, experiences, and people into our lives.

Once you have your “I am” statements written down, invest some time daily into reading them or speaking them out loud (I like to record mine and listen to them over and over) to fully immerse yourself in their power.

So until next time, remember:

Thank You Thursday

This week I would like to combine “Thank You Thursday” with your quest to achieve your goals in 2016-2017.  If you have not been following along with our Goal Achievement Quest refer to the Achievements 2016-2017 page of this blog to catch up.

The best and fastest way to manifest your dreams is to feel the feelings of already having achieved them.  Because gratitude is sure to be one of the emotions you will feel once you have reached your goal, expressing gratitude in advance is a terrific way to get into this feeling space.

For example, here is my list:

  • I am so grateful that I was able to purchase a Jeep Wrangler XL by 12/1/16.
  • I am excited and grateful that I sold >500 copies of Cooking with Your Canine in 2016.
  • Thank you to the 1000+ followers of my health and wellness blog.  I appreciate your comments, contributions, and support!
  • I am thankful that I had the ability to donate $1000 to childrens’ charities in 2016
  • Thank you Universe, for my 5 amazing new friends.
  • I am grateful I had the opportunity to  take 4, 3-4 day vacations this year!
  • I am so happy and grateful I had the chance to take an African Safari!  It was an incredible adventure.
  • I am thankful I took the time to spend a minimum of 15 minutes per day meditating or doing a guided meditation.  I feel more relaxed and focused.
  • I am grateful I finished my yoga certification classes.
  • Thank you, Rachel, for improving your flexibility by spending at least 15 minutes every day stretching or doing yoga.

Take some time today to write out the achievements you listed in prior exercises or any new goals you wish to achieve and add an expression of gratitude.  As you write out your achievements allow yourself to FEEL gratitude for the successful achievement of each and every one.  You may even wish to take several days or weeks to focus on writing out an achievement and immersing yourself in grateful thoughts and feelings.

Make a powerful declaration by adding your affirmations in the comment section below.

Playing with Your Goals

In previous posts, I have encouraged you to take action toward your goals, ( Are You Doing Everything You Can to Achieve Your Goals?Take Action)  But sometimes, it can be difficult to figure out what action to take.

To help you conquer this barrier and take the action you need to achieve your goal, I have developed this little game.

What you need:

  • 20-30 blank index cards
  • Colored markers or pens
  • Your list of Achievements for 2016-2017

How to play:

  • On the blank side of an index card, write down 1 of the goals from your list.
  • On the lined side, write out 4-5 actions you can take to achieve that goal.
    • Actions can include: 3-4 minutes spent visualizing the goal as already achieved, making a phone call, purchasing a web address, doing internet research associated with your goal, finding a class, joining a social club, or going to the gym.  Think of as many actions as you can, big and small.  Use an extra card if necessary.
  • Repeat this process for each of your goals.
  • Every morning when you wake up, shuffle the cards, and select one.
  • Read the goal out loud, then pick 1 of the actions to perform that day.
  • Before the end of the day, TAKE that ACTION!

The Rules:

  • Create actions that will motivate and challenge you to achieve your goal.
  • Don’t take the easy way out each time you select a goal.  For example, visualizing the goal as achieved is an effective and worthy action, but that alone will not be enough to propel you to your goal.
  • Whichever action you choose that day, YOU MUST TAKE IT!

This game is a lot of fun and can truly keep you on track toward reaching your goals.  Have fun and enjoy playing.  Making the journey to your goal exciting and entertaining is the best way to ensure you make it all of the way.

Give it a try and leave your feedback and results in the comment section below.

Take Action

Back in March, I started encouraging readers of this blog to refocus their attention on the goals/resolutions they set for the year or to create a list of goals if they had not already done so.  If you need a refresher or want to start the process at the beginning check out my Achievements for 2016-2017 page.

If you have not looked at your list of goals recently, today is the day!  Take time today to review the achievements you committed to reaching in the next 2 years AND take action on 2 of those goals.  You do not have to take big steps like quitting your job or booking that dream vacation (unless you are truly inspired to), taking time to make 1 phone call, skipping your morning latte and adding the money to savings, or visualizing your goal already achieved for 3 minutes are all small, powerful actions you can take.  Even these tiny steps reinforce to you and The Universe that you are committed to achieving your dream.

In the spirit of the exercise, here are 2 actions I am going to take today:

  • I will spend a minimum of 15 minutes per day meditating or doing a guided meditation
    • Action: Set aside 35 minutes to listen to my favorite chakra balancing meditation

Make the commitment to take action on your goals by posting your goals and actions in the comment section below.

If you need help figuring out what action to take toward achieving your goals, contact me for a complimentary 15 minute  1-on-1 session.

Thank You Thursday

For me summer means a slowing down of clients and that means less income.   It is in times like these that I can start to get into scarcity thinking with my finances.  Nothing can create lack and scarcity like focusing on lack and scarcity.  When I start to feel these feels creeping up on me, I like to do a gratitude exercise.

If you are experiencing any feelings of lack in your life whether it be finances love health or otherwise you can use this exercise is well.
Write down 10 things you are grateful you can afford. Now some of these things may be a stretch and could even be things that you think you should be cutting out of your budget, but that’s OK write them down anyhow.

Here is my list:

  1. I am grateful I can afford to rent a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood.
  2. I am grateful I can afford to put gasoline in my car.
  3. I am grateful I can afford to eat out 2 nights per week.
  4. I am grateful I can afford to get an manicure every 4 weeks.
  5. I am grateful I can afford to buy healthy food.
  6. I am grateful I can afford to pay for my electricity, water, and other utilities.
  7. I am grateful I can afford to donate money to my favorite charities.
  8. I am grateful I can afford to put money into savings each week.
  9. I am grateful I can afford to buy fun toys and treats for my dog.
  10. I am grateful I can afford to take a vacation every year.

Creating a list of ALL of the things you are grateful you can afford draws your attention to how much you have to be grateful for and away from those icky feelings of lack.  Dwelling on the positive helps you be open to seeing the possibilities and opportunities that surround you and once you can see the creative options that abound then you can take action to create and even bigger list of things you can afford.

If you cannot come up with 10 things, don’t worry.  If necessary, start with a few items and gradually add to the list as you think of more things you are grateful you can afford.  I promise, as you write you will think of more and more.

If you are having trouble getting into the space of gratitude, contact me for a 1-on-1 session at achievewellness@ymail.com.  I would love to help you find your inner gratitude.
