We have all had days (or weeks) where we just aren’t happy. You know those days where you just feel, BLAH. What if you could get happier in an instant, just flip a switch and presto you are in a happier mood? And what if you could feel this way all of the time?
Vishen Lakhiani from Mindvalley has a quick 90 second life hack to help you increase your level of happiness in just 90 seconds. Here’s how:
Step 1: Write down 5 things you are grateful for in your personal life. Try to think of things within the last 24-48 hours. Examples include time spent with a friend, a delicious meal, your car, your pet or a great deal you got at a store.
Step 2: List 5 things you are grateful for in your professional life. Consider things like a meeting going well, an unexpected sale, a promotion you received or simply that you have a job.
Step 3: List 5 things about YOURSELF for which you are grateful. Do you have beautiful eyes? Do you have the ability to make others laugh? Are you reliable? Did you go to the gym even though you did not feel like it? This maybe difficult at first because we are not used to thanking ourselves for being us, but stick with it and be creative.
Do this little life hack every morning and watch what happens.
